1. Open at noon on sunny days in hot weather
It is generally necessary to turn on the aerator at noon on a sunny day, especially for aquaculture ponds with hypertrophic water quality and vigorous phytoplankton reproduction, because phytoplankton need to perform a lot of photosynthesis on sunny days and emit a large amount of oxygen, so that the surface oxygen content of the water body of the aquaculture pond is sufficient, even A saturated state is reached, but the oxygen content at the bottom of the water body is relatively much lower, and turning on the aerator can make the water body convect up and down, which can transport the water from the upper layer to the lower layer, so that the oxygen content in the entire culture pond is uniform and sufficient. The water from the lower layer is transported to the upper layer. After being irradiated by sunlight, it can eliminate bacteria in the water, volatilize harmful substances into the air, improve the ecological environment of the breeding pond, and purify the water body, thereby increasing the yield and efficiency.
2. Thunderstorm weather starts in the morning
In rainy weather, the water in the breeding pond flows rapidly up and down, resulting in a rapid decrease in oxygen content. At this time, the aerator should be turned on as soon as possible. Sometimes the sun is strong and the temperature is high during the day, but there will be thunderstorms in the evening, and a lot of rainwater will enter the breeding pond. Because the temperature of the rainwater is too low, the temperature of the water body on the surface of the breeding pond will drop rapidly, and the specific gravity will increase. If the temperature is high and the specific gravity is light, it will float up, causing convection of the upper and lower layers of water, temporarily increasing the oxygen content, but it will be quickly consumed, which is likely to cause the floating head phenomenon of aquatic products.
3. Continuous rainy weather is more open
Summer is the rainy season for a long time, with long periods of rain. This results in less sunlight, lack of photosynthesis in phytoplankton, and insufficient dissolved oxygen in the water, which hinders the respiration of aquatic products in the aquaculture pond, resulting in anoxic state. Due to the continuous rain, there are many water fleas in the breeding pond, which eat most of the phytoplankton in the water, thus reducing photosynthesis and insufficient supply of oxygen sources. Growth of the product was not affected.
4. Turn it on more when hypoxia is severe
When the summer is dry, the long-term sunlight exposure will increase the temperature of the water body in the breeding pond, and the large amount of feed will cause the water quality to be hypertrophic, the transparency is relatively low, the organic matter in the water increases greatly, the difference between the oxygen content of the upper and lower water bodies is large, and the lower water body is short of water. Oxygen is serious, so it is not only necessary to extend the frequency and time of use of the aerator, but also to inject new water into the breeding pond to avoid serious hypoxia caused by changes in water quality and destroy the ecological environment for aquatic products to survive.
5. The machine does not turn on when feeding feed
When the feed is put in, the aerator is turned on, and it is easy to rotate the feed to the center of the breeding pond, causing the feed and excrement to mix and accumulate together, and it is not easy for aquatic products to be ingested, resulting in feed waste. The aerator should not be turned on in the evening, because the photosynthesis of phytoplankton stops at this time, and oxygen is no longer discharged into the water. If it is turned on to cause convection in the upper and lower water bodies, it will cause the phenomenon of rapid oxygen consumption, resulting in the lack of oxygen in the water body and affecting the breeding. Respiration of water products in the pool, thereby inhibiting growth. Therefore, it is necessary to use the aerator at a reasonable time to promote the improvement of production and efficiency.
Precautions for the use of pond aerators
1. The use of the aerator cannot be done step by step, and it should be used flexibly depending on the situation. On continuous cloudy and rainy days, the aerator cannot be turned on during the day, especially at noon. At this time, it will not only fail to increase oxygen, but also turn out the wastes such as ammonia nitrogen and nitrite at the bottom, which will speed up the consumption of oxygen and cause the fish and shrimp to float their heads without oxygen.
2. When adding new water to the pond, it is necessary to turn on the aerator to avoid stress caused by the large difference in local water temperature, ph, salinity, etc.
3. When the temperature is high in summer, the time of opening the aerator should be extended, which is not only for increasing the oxygen, but also adjusting the temperature difference.
4. Pay attention to the safety of electricity use. When the aerator is turned on, no one is allowed to go into the pond.
5. Sometimes it's not enough to just rely on aerators, but also prepare an aerator just in case.
